Jeff Wagner is an American anchor and reporter working for WCCO-TV as the co-host of The 4 alongside Erin Hassanzadeh on weekdays at 4 pm. He joined the WCCO-TV team in November 2016, as a general assignment reporter.
The Chicago suburbs is where Jeff was born and brought up, and he spent the better part of his childhood in Naperville, Illinois. Wagner attended Illinois State University where he graduated in 2009, with a Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. Jeff later relocated to Champaign, Illinois where he worked at WCIA-TV as a reporter. He began working as a bureau reporter in Decatur and later on, he served as a weekend anchor.
After having worked in Central Illinois for four years, he relocated to Indiana where he joined WISH-TV in 2013. While Wagner worked at WISH-TV, he won a number of Emmy awards for his breaking news coverage of tornado damage, and he also served as a video journalist. However, Jeff’s best assignment was centered around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, especially the Indy 500.
Jeff is a huge sports fan and he has attended games at venues across the Twin Cities. He enjoys cheering on Chicago teams and whenever he is not there, he can be found disc golfing or at a live music event.
