Halperin earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and history from Creighton University. His professional background includes serving as a news photographer at NBC News from 1994 to 1998, where he covered various national and international events. Subsequently, he worked as a news photographer at WNYT-TV in Albany, New York, from 1998 to 2000. In addition to his work in the media, he has been actively involved in supporting his partner’s political career. He has contributed videography for her campaign efforts, with a particular focus on engaging the Latino community.

Kari Lake, a former TV weather reporter and news anchor, transitioned to politics after her retirement in 2021. In 2022, she ran for governor of Arizona as a Republican, with her husband accompanying her on the campaign trail and documenting the journey.
