Jee-Yun Lee is a Canadian anchor, reporter, and actress working for CP24 as an evening anchor and reporter at 10, 10:30, and 11 p.m. She joined the CP24 news team in March 2010 after previously working for CityNews Toronto.

Jee-Yun Lee Career

Lee, who studied history and politics at the University of Toronto and North Toronto Collegiate, credits her discovery of her love for broadcasting to her internship at CTV’s THE DINI PETTY SHOW. Lee resumed her graduate journalism program studies at Humber College in 1995. She began her journalism career with CTV Saskatchewan. Her work there included line-up editor, producer, writer, anchor, and weather reporter in addition to being a videographer.

Lee moved back to central Canada in 1997 and spent the next eight years working for Citytv in Toronto after working for CHCH TV in Hamilton for five years. Her beats included consumer stories, Queen’s Park, and health. Along the journey, she enjoyed anchoring the Citytv New Year’s Eve Bash from 2002 to 2004 from Nathan Phillips Square. In addition, Lee hosted THE SPIN on Star Daily.

In addition, Lee has contributed to multiple sclerosis and retinoblastoma (eye cancer) awareness and fundraising campaigns. Along with her close collaboration with the Korean Canadian Women’s Association, she also spearheads fundraising initiatives aimed at supplying Korean families in Canada with social and family services. In 2011, Lee was honored to receive the Korean Canadian Heritage Award in the Arts and Entertainment category for her unwavering support of and pride in her Korean heritage. As a part-time actress, Lee has appeared in several television shows and movies since 1997 including, Camp Rock with the Jonas Brothers, Room, and portrayed a reporter in The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man 2.
