Jay Jefferies is an American meteorologist working for FOX54 as a Chief Meteorologist. He joined the FOX54 news team in August 2016, after previously working for WAGT-TV.
Previously, Jefferies had a tenure at WRDW-TV and later at WAGT-TV, navigating through his career until 2015 when he encountered the turbulence of a corporate buyout. In the midst of this storm, the news team temporarily shifted to WJBF-TV. However, when the storm settled, he and more than 30 of his colleagues found themselves without employment. In a perplexing turn of events for the community, he vanished from the airwaves in April 2016, describing it as a test of his faith. In August 2016, he made a comeback, joining the WFXG-TV FOX54 Weather Now Team. Bringing with him extensive experience spanning over 32 years, he became an integral part of the team.
