Sloss was brought up in San Diego, and he is happy to be covering news in his hometown, He enjoyed playing baseball during his childhood days and he attended Grossmont High School in El Cajon where he graduated proudly. Later on, he joined Brigham Young University where he studied journalism and earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.
In addition, Sloss joined the CBS affiliate KBCI in Idaho and the ABC affiliate KIFI where he covered sports.
