Jason Matheson is an American two-time Emmy-winning host working for FOX 9 as host of The Jason Show. He also hosts Jason & Alexis in the Morning and a podcast known as Two Fairy Godfathers. He joined the FOX 9 team in 2000 as an executive producer.

Matheson started his television career at WCCO-TV where he worked on the weekend overnight shift, He then relocated to Minneapolis, Minnesota where he joined KMSP-TV, FOX 9 in the spring of 2000 as an executive producer of The Buzz, which is a long-running and highly popular daily entertainment segment. Not long after, Jason moved to the newly launched morning show, Good Day Minnesota.
In addition, while working at FOX 9, he has interviewed celebrities such as; Meryl Streep, Cher, Emma Thompson, Ewan McGregor, Arthur Miller, and Will Smith. He started a radio host on myTalk 107.1 alongside co-host Alexis Thompson in 2005, on “The Saturday Night Groove.” A few years later, Matheson moved to a weekday show, and later in 2013, he was promoted to the morning drive launching, Jason & Alexis in the Morning.
Furthermore, as his radio career grew, the same happened to his presence on television. Matheson was named as the co-anchor of the newly expanded, FOX 9 weekday morning show known as The Buzz in 2009. He also was promoted to co-anchoring the early edition of The FOX 9 Morning News. In addition, he shortly returned to WCCO-TV in the year 2014, and later in 2015, he rejoined FOX 9 to launch, The Jason Show.
Jason has received five Emmy nominations and of the five, he won two. In addition, he was named as one of the 40 under 40 from the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal’s. The Minnesota Jaycees named Matheson as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Minnesotans, which is an honor previously given to Walter Mondale among others. He also got nominated for a Marconi Award for Large Market Personality of the Year in 2016.
