Jason Hackett is an American anchor and reporter working for KARE 11 as a Sunrise co-anchor alongside Alicia Lewis and meteorologist Guy Brown. He joined the KARE 11 news team in February 2023, after previously working for KOCO 5 News.
Hackett, originally from Miami Gardens, Florida, proudly holds a Bachelor of Science in telecommunication news from the University of Florida (Go Gators!). Throughout his career, he has served as a reporter in various cities. His roles include being a General Assignment Reporter at WMBB News 13 in Panama City, Florida, a Television News Reporter and Multimedia Journalist at KGAN (CBS2) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a Television News Reporter at WP-TV in West Palm Beach, Florida, and a morning anchor at KOCO 5 News in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where he spent over four years.
