Jared Dillingham Biography
Jared Dillingham is an American Emmy-winning anchor working for 3TV and CBS5 as an evening anchor at 5 pm, 6 pm, 9 pm, and 10 pm. He joined the 3TV team in March 2008.
New York is Jared’s native home and he attended Syracuse University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and political science. Prior to working in Phonix, he spent time working in Spokane, Washington, and Great Falls, Montana. Over the years, Dillingham has covered covering major stories in Arizona and in addition to that, he has filed reports for Arizona’s Family from Vietnam, Mexico, Washington, DC, and the DMZ. After Russia invaded Ukraine, he spent time in Poland while profiling war refugees and the Arizonans who traveled halfway around the world to assist them.
In addition, for Jared’s stories on vulnerable children in Arizona, he has won a series of Emmy Awards. His stories focus on the challenges faced by LGBTQ youth, children in immigration court, and a unique music program for special education students. On top of serving as an evening anchor, Dillingham is the host of Now Boarding which is a travel segment on “Good Morning Arizona” that airs every Sunday. The show also has a travel blog, www.jaredsdetours.com that gives advice on making quick, efficient trips to destinations around the world. Furthermore, during his spare time, he enjoys; walking his dogs, Myrtle and Bart, listening to as many news podcasts as possible, and hiking Piestewa Peak or Camelback Mountain.
