Janice Rogers is an American anchor working for WBRC 6, where she serves as a weekday morning anchor on Good Day Alabama.
Rogers attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. While she was still a student, she began her career as an intern at the local NBC affiliate. While she was there, she served as an on-air videotape editor and general assignment reporter. Not long after, Janice was promoted to the East Alabama Bureau Chief position. In addition, she also got to serve as the midday anchor and finally became the station’s weekend news anchor.
After having graduated, in August 1994, Rogers joined the WBRC team while his station was being bought by FOX New Corp. She joined the station as a morning show anchor that eventually was named “Good Day, Alabama.” As of the moment, she co-anchors and produces segments on the “Good Day Alabama” segment for six hours.
Jacksonville, Florida, is Rogers’ native home, and during her teenage days, she relocated to the Birmingham area. Janice attended McAdory High School in Jefferson County, where she graduated with a high school degree. In addition, she was brought up on a farm in McCalla and stated that her time at the farm was some of her best years. Furthermore, Rogers is an active member of the society. Her work in the community has earned Janice thousands of loyal viewers as well as co-workers. During her leisure time, she enjoys spending ample time with her family and giving back to society.
