Janette Nesheiwat is an American physician working for Fox News as a medical contributor and medical news correspondent. She joined the Fox News team in 2009, after previously working at KNWA.
Nesheiwat graduated from The University of South Florida, completed her ER rotations with Johns Hopkins University, and finished her medical residency at the University of Arkansas Medical Center in Fayetteville. She is currently employed by CityMD, a network of urgent care facilities in New York and New Jersey that is disrupting the healthcare market by offering quick access to care, as a Medical Director. Previously, she served as a physician at Washington Regional Medical Center and at Northwest Medical Hospital.
In addition to hosting Health Minute with Dr. Janette on KNWA-TV, an NBC station in Northwest Arkansas, Dr. Nesheiwat worked as a medical news correspondent for Family Health Today, an educational medical television program. She has offered analysis for several national television networks, such as ABC’s Good Morning America. Dr. Nesheiwat has led numerous medical assistance missions with the American Red Cross during her medical career, including one following the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti.

Every day, Janette saw her mother, Hayat Nesheiwat, in scrubs as she worked as a registered nurse at the Florida Elks Children’s Hospital. The young Janette was deeply influenced by this effect of compassion.
She volunteered at a children’s hospital to support her mother, aiding children who were homeless, cancer patients, and of the same age as her but were unable to walk or communicate. Janette’s first memory dates back to the day her mother adopted a foster child with cerebral palsy who was unable to spend Thanksgiving with her family. She was so moved by the enjoyment the child showed when she fed them a turkey dinner that she knew where her future would lie.
Financial difficulties played a factor in Janette’s schooling because she was raised by a single mother. But she made progress with the help of grants, loans, work-study opportunities, and scholarships. Her elder sister, Julia, is a graduate of Stetson University, and served as a commissioned U.S. Army officer. Her two sisters, Jaclyn, and Dina, were winners of the High O’Brian Leadership Award, which was awarded to high school sophomores. She also has a brother called Daniel.
