Schemmel is a dedicated professional who pursued his passion for storytelling and sports. He earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Maryland in May 2020. During his college years, he gained valuable experience through internships at SNN-TV in Sarasota, the Sports Department at NBC4 WRC-TV in Washington D.C., and ESPN’s Pardon the Interruption. His time with Capital News Service allowed him to cover the Washington Nationals’ World Series run in 2019.
