Ian Cassette Biography
Ian Cassette is an American meteorologist working for FOX 35 as a weekend meteorologist. He joined the FOX 35 news team in July 2022, after previously working for WDBJ7.
Tampa is where Cassette was brought up and he attended Florida State University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science and meteorology in 2015. While he was at Florida State University, he won the National Championship. After having graduated, he secured his first job at WIBW in Topeka, Kansas where he experienced all four seasons for the first time.
Later on, Ian relocated to Roanoke, Virginia where he worked at WDBJ7 while serving as a weekend meteorologist. In addition, while he was in Virginia, he covered; a number of tornadoes, floods, and snowstorms. In 2021, Cassette earned his certification (CBM) from the American Meteorological Society. During his leisure time, he enjoys getting outside, eating good food, and sports teams.
