Hilda Gutierrez is an American Emmy Award-winning reporter working for KNTV as an investigative reporter with the award-winning Investigative Unit. She joined the KNTV news team in November 2022, after previously working for NBC Universal Telemundo.

Gutierrez pursued a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics and Spanish Literature from the University of California, Los Angeles-UCLA, and a Broadcast Journalism certification from UCLA Extension in 2004. Thereafter she was a news production apprentice at ABC 7 WWSB-TV, for a month. She was later hired by Estrella TV and worked as a producer, reporter, and news anchor for seven years and one month.
Gutierrez joined the NBC Telemundo news team in 2017 and covered data-driven and award-winning investigations. Like the registered sex offenders living in hotels, police misconduct, sexual harassment, Pope Francis’ visit to Mexico, and the investigation of deputy abuse inside L.A. County Jail that set off a federal investigation and led to the convictions of nearly two dozen sheriff officials in 2011. These historic coverages coupled with over a decade of experience in top markets earned her 8 Emmy Awards and an Edward R Murrow.
Most recently Gutierrez served as a news anchor and bilingual investigative reporter for Telemundo Chicago Investiga and NBC 5 Investigates. In her downtime, she enjoys exploring, trying new restaurants locally and abroad, hiking, and learning about new cultures.
