Henry Cavill is a British actor best known for The Witcher (2019–2023), Enola Holmes (2020), The Tudors (2007–2010), and Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018). He rose to fame after starring in the TV series The Flash (2023).
Henry Cavill Career
Casill’s first movie roles were in Laguna (2001) and Kevin Reynolds’ version of The Count of Monte Cristo (2002). He then went on to act in BBC’s The Inspector Lynley Mysteries (2002), the TV movie Goodbye, Mr. Chips (2002), and the TV show Midsomer Murders (2003). A local pastor tells Kent to “leap of faith” when Zod and his followers come to Earth and demand that Kal-El be turned over. Kent has already told the pastor that he is the one Zod is looking for and that he thinks Zod will go to war no matter what. While wearing the Kryptonian uniform and not revealing who he is, Kent talks with the US Air Force and agrees to do what they ask.
Lane joins him as a hostage. Kent and Lane use the Jor-El AI to take control of the ship, run away, and tell the U.S. military about Zod’s plan. Moreover, this leads to a dangerous fight between Kent’s troops and Zod’s troops around Smallville, just as Zod orders an attack. Zod sets off the World Engine from the Kryptonian ship. The ship lands in the Indian Ocean and fires a beam through the planet towards Zod. This does a lot of damage to Metropolis, which is on the other side of the world and starts the terraforming scheme.
The military starts a suicide attack on the ship while Kent destroys the World Engine. This sends Zod’s troops back to the Phantom Zone. Since the ship was destroyed and Krypton’s only chance of survival is gone, Zod swears to destroy Earth and all the people who live there to get back at them. Zod attacks a family who is trapped in a train station, forcing Kent to kill him.
This ends the long fight between the two Kryptonians that takes place across Metropolis. After what happened, Kent changed his public identity to Superman, which is his military code name. He also convinces General Calvin Swanwick to let him act on his own, as long as he doesn’t turn against people. To get into risky situations without drawing attention to himself, he secretly keeps his civilian identity and works as a freelance reporter for the Daily Planet.
