Heather Brown Biography
Heather Brown is an American anchor working for WCCO-TV as a morning and mid-day anchor on weekdays. She rejoined the ECCO-TV team in November 2012, after previously working for WNYW-TV.
While Brown worked at WNYW-TV in New York City, he served as a reporter for two years. She covered New York City public schools and also reported on; Hurricane Sandy, breaking news, and the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11th. Previously, Heather worked at WCCO-TV from 2006 to 2010, and a number of her memorable stories during that time include; the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, the destructive forest fires in the Boundary Waters, and the 35W bridge collapse.
In addition, during the tornadoes in western Minnesota and CBS News on the historic flooding in Fargo, Heather reported from CBS News. Prior to relocating to Minnesota, Heather worked at WIS-TV in Columbia, South Carolina. While working at WIS, she reported on the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina from Biloxi, covered the 2004 S.C. Democratic presidential primary, and produced an award-winning education series that assisted students get school supplies needed in many South Carolina classrooms.
Brown was born and brought up outside Philadelphia and she attended Colgate University where she graduated proudly. After completing college, she worked at CNBC in Los Angeles where she served as a business news producer. In addition, Heather also attended Harvard University where she studied in its Kennedy School of Government and earned a master’s degree in public policy. Furthermore, during her spare time, she enjoys exploring the lakes, parks and restaurants all over Twin Cities together with her family.
