Hanna Battah Biography

Hanna Battah is an American Anchor and reporter who is currently working at KDFW. She has been serving as the 4 am to 6 am co-anchor alongside Brandon Todd a role she took up in August 2018. In addition, she joined the FOX 4 news team in June 2018.

In 2011, she attended the United of Missouri Columbia where she studied broadcast journalism and political science, and in 2015, she graduated proudly. In addition, while she was in college, she worked for the campus television station was known as MUTV covering sports.

Her first story was on the Mizzou volleyball team featuring the newest players.

Battah is currently working at KDFW where she serves as the anchor of the 4 am to 6 am news alongside Brandon Todd and as the anchor of the 6 am to 10 am newscast. Previously, she worked at KBAK/ KBFX in Bakersfield, California where she serves as an afternoon anchor and evening reporter. In addition, while she worked at KBAK, she played different roles such as shooting videos, producing newscasts, and editing her own stories.

Furthermore, she covered statewide stories, breaking news, and local politics. She also traveled to Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties where she covered the largest wildfire in state history in 2017. Additionally, she worked alongside fire crews in full gear to get first-hand glimpses of the flames.

She has covered a number of wildfires and brushed, however, she has never witnessed the devastation caused by the inferno that burned for months along the coast. Prior to her relocating to the central valley of California, she began her career in news in Missouri. In addition, she covered state politics in Jefferson City for radio outlets in Springfield, Kansas City, and St. Louis.

In addition, she later served as a general assignment Reporter and Anchor for the NBC affiliate in Columbia, Mo. She covered occasional stories out of the state Capitol and went on to work on a few projects across the state such as the recovery process following the devastating Joplin tornado in 2011, the 2015 World Series, and former President Obama’s visit to Kansas City.

Twin Cities was where she was brought up. During her downtime, she enjoys running and swimming.
