Gus Rosendale Career
Long Island is Rosendale’s native home and he covered Superstorm Sandy after it hit his hometown of Long Beach. For his coverage of Sandy, he was awarded an Edward R. Murrow Award, a National Emmy, and a New York Emmy. For his anchoring and reporting during the COVID-19 pandemic, the NBC 4 news team was awarded the prestigious Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award in January 2021. In addition, he was awarded the prestigious Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award for his excellence in journalism in 2017.
