Greg Perez is an American meteorologist working for FOX31 as a weekend morning and Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday meteorologist. He joined the FOX31 news team in September 2023, after previously working for KUSA-TV, 9NEWS.
Perez earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Virginia Tech. His Journalism career began in Great Falls, Montana at KFBB, where he spent one year working as a Chief Meteorologist. There, he was able to gain valuable experience in forecasting everything from heavy snowfall to tornadoes to warm, dry summer days.
From there he joined KHQ Local News in Spokane, Washington, where he worked as a weekend meteorologist before returning to the East Coast as a weekday meteorologist for WPMT FOX43 serving south-central Pennsylvania. For his wall-to-wall coverage of Hurricane Ida, he earned a Pennsylvania Broadcasting Award. During his free time, he enjoys checking out the National Parks, fishing, golfing, hiking, and spending time with his family. Being a big sports fan, Perez enjoys watching the New York Giants along with the New Jersey Devils and of course the Virginia Tech Football team.
