Ginger Conejero Saab is an American reporter working for NBC Bay Area as a morning reporter. She joined the NBC Bay Area news team in 2020, after previously working for ABS-CBN International’s The Filipino Channel (TFC).
Ginger was born and raised in San Francisco, attended the University of Southern California, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government. Currently, she reports for NBC Bay Area’s morning news program, Today in the Bay. Saab’s coverage includes the COVID-19 vaccine rollout across the Bay Area, hate crimes against the Asian American and Pacific Islander community, and several Northern California wildfires.
Ginger worked as a broadcast journalist and producer for ABS-CBN International’s The Filipino Channel (TFC) before joining NBC Bay Area. There, she produced and hosted the well-liked magazine talk show Adobo Nation, a weekly program that combines news features with lifestyle issues important to Filipino Americans residing in the United States. Moreover, she also filled in at the desk for the station’s daily newscast and anchored TFC’s news alerts.
Prior to serving as the anchor of TFC in Daly City, Ginger worked in the Philippines for ABS-CBN Corporation where she worked for a decade. While working for ABS-CBN Corporation, she served in a number of fields inclusive of; news anchor for Mornings@ANC, reporter for TV Patrol World, and morning show host and reporter for Umagang Kay Ganda. In addition, Conejero covered; the 2015 Papal visit to the Philippines, studio junkets, regional and local entertainment news, multiple Presidential elections, Miss Universe pageants, and the Duterte first family.
