Murdoch went to Lancaster’s Antelope Valley College in 1992 after graduating from Los Angeles County, California’s Quartz Hill High School. He enrolled in the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 1995, where he was a college football player for the Lopers while pursuing his teaching degree. As a cable news personality, he appears on Fox News, and its sister streaming service Fox Nation, primarily as a co-host and panelist on the late-night talk show Gutfeld, which airs on weeknights from 11 p.m. to 12 a.m. as well as a contributor and fill-in host on other programs. Famously known by his ring/stage name “Tyrus”, he is a former professional wrestler, actor, and college football player, who adds a sarcastic sense of humor and a keen sense of wit to his commentary on a range of Fox News shows.
As a wrestler, the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), signed him, where he is a former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion. Tyrus began as a professional wrestler for the WWE in 2006. He changed his ring name to Tyrus for Total Impact Wrestling in 2014. Tyrus criticized Greg Gutfeld on Twitter a year later. Since then, he has been a guest on Gutfeld’s shows and has contributed to several other popular Fox News Channel shows, such as The Five, Outnumbered, Fox & Friends, and The Daily Briefing.
