Gadi Schwartz Biography
Gadi Schwartz is an American anchor, host, and correspondent working for NBC News as the anchor of Now Tonight which airs at 8 pm.
During the 2016 Rio Games, Schwartz made his Olympic debut as a reporter for NBC Olympics. Prior to joining NBC News, he worked for KNBC, an NBC-owned-and-operated television station in Los Angeles, California. While Gadi worked at KNBC, he contributed to the weekly reports on the 5 pm, 6 pm, and 11 pm newscasts. In addition, he had joined KNBC after spending almost ten years at KOB-TV, the NBC affiliate, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he served as a managing investigator for the “4 On Your Side” Investigative Unit and weekend co-anchor.
Most of Schwartz’s childhood was spent shadowing his father, Sergio Schwartz who was a former journalist for Univision in Albuquerque. Guatemala City was his birth home and he relocated with his family to Belen, New Mexico, and later to Albuquerque when he was seven years old. Furthermore, over the years, Gadi has received many awards such as two honors for Best Reporter and Best Investigative Reporter from the New Mexico Broadcaster’s Association. In 2012, he was awarded a Rocky Mountain Emmy Award for ‘Feature Reporting’ and the Associated Press New Mexico recognized him for Best Editing and Best General News.
