Fred Campagna Biography
Fred Campagna is an American Emmy-winning meteorologist working for CBS46 as a weeknight meteorologist. He joined the Atlanta News First team in October 2019, after previously working for the ABC affiliate in Hartford-New Haven.
He has had over 20 years of experience as an on-air meteorologist having worked at WFXT in Boston, WLNE in Providence-New Bedford, and WTNH in Harford-New Haven. He is a member of the American Meteorological Society and he earned the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) and Television Seals of Approval.
Over the years, he has covered major historic flooding, blizzards, hurricanes, and tornadoes. Campagna is also a proud contributor to Atlanta’s Most Accurate Weather Forecast at CBS46. He joined Plymouth State University in 1997, where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology and a minor in mathematics. In addition, he also graduated from the University of Colorado where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a Business Emphasis. During his free time, he enjoys following all college and pro sports, live music, reading, and spending ample time with his family.
