Ella Dorsey is an American Emmy-winning meteorologist working for CBS46 as a morning meteorologist from 4:30 am to 7 am and from 9 am to 10 am. She joined the CBS46 team in January 2016, as a weekend meteorologist.

She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and later brought up in Atlanta. In 2009, she joined the University of Georgia where she graduated Cum Laude in 2013, with a Bachelor of Science in geography and a certificate in Atmospheric Sciences. Dorsey was awarded the Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology (CBM) which is the most prestigious designation offered to on-air meteorologists. In addition, she gained interest in weather when she was 4 years old after her father gave her a Discovery Channel VCR titled “Tornado, Hurricane, Flood”.

Prior to joining Atlanta News First, she worked for WBIR-TV in Knoxville Tennessee and while she was at the station, she covered everything from snow to tornadoes and ice storms. Furthermore, she is a huge football fan and over the years, she has made a number of appearances on sports radio talk show in Knoxville. During her free time, she can be found sporting Baltimore Ravens & Georgia Bulldogs gear year-round, traveling, and cooking.
