Elex Michaelson is an American six-time Emmy award-winning anchor and host who is currently working at KTTV. He serves as the c0-anchor of Foxla which airs on weekdays at 5, 6, 7, and 10 PM alongside Christine Devine. In addition, he serves as a co-host of FOX 11 Special Report alongside Marla Tellez during weeknights at 7 p.m.

Furthermore, he also hosts and produces The Issue Is which is a political talk show that airs on stations throughout the state of California. Agoura Hills is her native home and his first job in broadcasting was as a FOX 11 intern. He has had interviews with nearly every key political figure including; Gavin Newsom, Al Gore, Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, and Donald Trump. In addition, he has also reported live from Democratic National Conventions, the Republican, and multiple Presidential Inaugurations and debates.
Furthermore, over the years, he has won six Emmy Awards and thirteen Emmy nominations. Michaelson began working at KABC-TV in Los Angeles in 2010, where he served as a fill-in anchor and reporter to 2017.
Before that, he worked at XETV in San Diego where he served as a weekend morning anchor and weeknight reporter. Elex attended the University of Southern California where he graduated first in his class from the Annenberg School of Journalism. In addition, he has earned Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude honors while picking up dual degrees in broadcast journalism and political science.
