Doug Williams is an American anchor and reporter working for CBS2 as a weekend morning anchor and education reporter. He joined the CBS New York team in 2013.
Before Williams joined CBS2, he worked for SNY, the regional sports network. While he worked at SNY, he covered all the big national and local sports stories while serving as an anchor and reporter. When Doug joined SNY, he served as a reporter and host of “Geico SportsNite” which is the station’s weekend overnight sports show. In addition, he also served as the full-time anchor of the nightly talk show “Baseball Night in New York.”
Furthermore, Doug worked at YES Network before joining SNY. Williams was brought up in Connecticut by his parents who are former local news journalists. He attended Elon University in North Carolina where he graduated with a major in Broadcast Journalism. For his entire adult life, he has resided and worked in New York.
