Doug Dunbar is an American multiple Emmy award-winning anchor who is currently working at CBS 11. He serves as the co-anchor of the 5 pm, 6 pm, and 10 pm newscast at the station.
He finished the Ironman Triathlon World Championship in Kona, Hawaii as part of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program in 2016. In addition, he was able to raise $156,000 for the fight against blood cancers!
For his outstanding work as a journalist, he has received multiple Emmys and was recognized with a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for his reporting in 2014 while on a group of local D-Day veterans’ emotional return to Normandy, France. Furthermore, he is among the few civilians who’ve ever had to chance to fly both the F-16 and the FA-18. In addition, he is a former National Champion and record holder (since broken!) in the obscure sport of barefoot waterskiing!
