Don Moen Career
Moen attended high school in Two Harbors, Minnesota, graduating in 1968. From there, he attended Oral Roberts University, a Christian liberal arts school. He joined Terry Law Ministries as a Living Sound musician and spent ten years on the road with Terry Law. After that, he spent more than 20 years working for Integrity Media, holding positions as executive producer of Integrity Music records, president of Integrity Label Group, and creative director and president of Integrity Music. In December of 2007, he departed from Integrity Media to launch The Don Moen Company. MediaComplete, the church software business behind MediaShout, was purchased by The Don Moen business.
In 2009, Moen started hosting Don Moen & Friends on the radio. Moen received a nomination for nine Dove Awards and won one for his work on the musical God with Us. Paul Overstreet, Debbye Graafsma, Bob Fitts, Ron Kenoly, Claire Cloninger, Tom Brooks, Aline Barros, Randy Rothwell, and many more were among the people Moen collaborated with. Alongside artists Paul Jackson, Jr., Lenny LeBlanc, Chris Graham, Alex Acuña, Carl Albrecht, Abraham Laboriel, and Justo Almario, he collaborated with them. Paul Baloche, Israel Houghton, Darlene Zschech, and Hillsong United all had their careers launched by him. For the Hosanna! Music series of worship recordings, he released eleven volumes.
In 1992, he released Worship with Don Moen, his debut album under his own name. His music has total global sales of over five million units. Give Thanks, Moen’s debut album on Hosanna! Music, went on to become a breakout hit for the label. The RIAA recognized Give Thanks, which Tom Brooks produced, as Gold. En Tu Presencia and Trono De Gracia, two of Moen’s own albums, were released in Spanish after this. The Best Musical Dove Award went to God with Us. He recorded Heal Our Land in Yoido Park, South Korea, and The Mercy Seat at Singapore Indoor Stadium while on tour in Asia in 1999. The recordings came out in 2000. Christian Broadcasting Network served as the recording location for Moen’s CD I Will Sing. With 19 of his finest songs, God Will Make a Way: The Best of Don Moen was published in 2003.
