Dennis O’Donnell Biography
Dennis O’Donnell is an American Emmy award-winning sports anchor and director who is currently working at KPIX-TV. He can be seen anchoring sports news from Sundays to Thursdays. In addition, he joined the KPIX-TV sports team in August 2000.
For Best Sports Segment, he has received four APTRA awards prior to being a multiple Northern California Emmy Award winner. Furthermore, he has been working in the Bay Area since 1982 and over the years he has covered every major Bay Area sports team in their respective championship. Additionally, he has worked at KRON-TV where he served as an executive sports producer.
For thirteen seasons he served as the pre-season voice of the San Francisco 49ers and as of the moment, he serves as the sideline reporter. Additionally, he has done football and basketball play-by-play for KPIX, Fox Sports, Bay TV, and Comcast Sports Network.
His contributions at KRON assisted him to earn the station the honor of “The Best Sports Cast in California” by the Associated Press on five different occasions. In addition, he also hosted KPIX 5 ‘s NFL post-game show “Last Honest Sports Show,” “The 5th Quarter,” “49ers Preview,” and he number-one-rated012.
For his education, he attended San Francisco State University where he graduated proudly. Additionally, he is the emcee for all major Northern California Alzheimer’s events, inclusive of the San Francisco Walk to End Alzheimer’s and Memories in the Making.
