DeJuan Hoggard Biography
DeJuan Hoggard is an American anchor and reporter working for ABC11 as the co-anchor of the weekend evening newscast and reporter at 4, 5, and 6. He joined the ABC11 news team in April 2016
San Diego is Hoggard’s native home and he began his career in journalism at his high school television news program where he served as a host/reporter. During DeJuan’s sophomore year, he interned at KUSI-TV in San Diego where he did just about everything including being a production assistant, Sports Producer, Master Control Operator, and on-air host for the station’s PPR Plus web-streamed football program. In addition, for Hoggard’s contributions, he assisted KUSI in earning numerous Emmy awards for the Prep Pigskin Report.
In 2013, Hoggard was hired during the launch of One America News as an anchor/reporter. While he was at One America News, he served as the anchor of “Early Edition.” In addition, Hoggard also covered; national politics, the San Bernardino shootings, and many other breaking news stories. DeJuan is a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity and the National Association of Black Journalists.
He attended California State University Northridge where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism (Broadcast) and a collateral in Pan-African Studies. He also studied at Ashford University where he earned an MBA with a specialization in marketing with a perfect GPA.
