Deidra Dukes is an American anchor and reporter working at FOX 5 Atlanta where she serves as a weekend at 6 p.m., 10 p.m, and 11 p.m anchor. She joined the FOX 5 Atlanta team in 2005.
California is her native home and she attended Chico State where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Her first big break in television was in Redding and Fresno where she served as an anchor and reporter. Later on, she headed East where she worked at WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh where she served as a general assignment reporting. After working at WPXI-TV for three years, she left the station and joined WSB-TV before later joining FOX 5 News in 2005.
In addition, she has reported on everything including criminal cases to City Hall and unpredictable incidents. She is proud of her contributions to the coverage of metro Atlanta’s biggest stories, including the Fulton County Courthouse shootings. Furthermore, since she relocated to Atlanta, she has been active in the community programs. Deidra works closely with groups like the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists, and the Junior League of Atlanta, and she is an adviser to the American Red Cross Minority Recruitment Program.
