Deidra Brisco is an American reporter and multimedia journalist working for News 19. She joined the News 19 team in October 2022.
Brooklyn, New York is Brisco’s native home and she has family residing in Birmingham Alabama and Greensboro. During her childhood days, she wished to one day become a Psychology, however, she chose a different career path after a college guidance counselor saw a knack for Journalism in her. Deidra attended Brooklyn College where she studied for a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and Marketing. Over the years, Brisco has worked behind the scenes for prominent programs such as ESPN, CNN International, PBS- Metro Focus, CNN International, and WJTV in Jackson, Mississippi where she served as a reporter and fill-in weekend morning news anchor.
Furthermore, the best part of her job is meeting people, and she states that she has always been passionate about people and working with the community. Whenever she finds time, she enjoys talking to children and assisting the elderly. During her spare time, she enjoys exploring new places and spending ample time with friends and family.
