Dawn Hasbrouck is an American anchor working for FOX 32 as a weekday evening anchor at 5 pm and 9 pm. She joined the FOX 32 Chicago team in 2010, after previously working for WBZ TV in Boston.
Chicago is Dawn’s native home and she attended Duke University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and a certificate in Film and Video Production. She also attended the University of Southern California where she studied in its Cinema-Television School. In addition, Hasbrouck has also studied at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism where she earned a Master of Science in Journalism. Dawn was inducted into Northwestern University’s “Council of 100,” which consists of top female graduates.
Furthermore, she also attended St. Ignatius College Prep in Chicago and while she was there, she was part of the track and tennis teams, and cheerleading team, and was active in musical theater. Hasbrouck also was a young voice student at the Sherwood Conservatory of Music in Chicago and the Merit School of Music. In addition, Hasbrouck received an Associated Press award for Best Hard News Feature and an Emmy nomination for her reporting.
Before she joined FOX 32, she worked at WBZ-TV (CBS) in Boston, Massachusetts where she served as an anchor and reporter for three years. While she worked in Boston, Hasbrouck, the Boston Business Journal honored her and named her to its “Top 40 under 40” list. Prior to working in Hasbrouck, Dawn worked for WFSB-TV (CBS) in Hartford, Connecticut where she served as the morning and noon anchor. In addition, she also served as a medical reporter at the station.
Hasbrouck also previously worked at WTGS/WJCL-TV (FOX/ABC) in Savannah, Georgia, and WITI-TV (FOX) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she served as an anchor. She also worked in Lexington, Kentucky for WKYT-TV (CBS) as a reporter and in Des Moines, Iowa for WHO Newsradio through the Medill News Service at Northwestern. In addition, she is a successful performer who has studied opera for nine years and she loves fine arts just as much as she loves volunteering in the community,
