Dave Warren Biography

Dave Warren is an American meteorologist working for CBS4 Miami as a weekend meteorologist and weekday reporter and fill-in meteorologist. He joined the CBS Miami team in November 2016, as a weeknight meteorologist. after previously working for FOX 29 as a weekend meteorologist. 

Dave was born outside of Philadelphia and his interest in thunderstorms led him to tornado alley and one of the top Meteorology schools in the country. In 1995, he joined the University of Oklahoma where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology. In addition to his AMS credentials, he is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) and member of the American Meteorology Society.

Warren has served as a meteorologist for almost 20 years and he is an AMS-certified meteorologist. He has previously worked at KPAX-TV in Missoula, Montana, WCAU-TV in Philadelphia, and Al Jazeera America in New Your City as a meteorologist. Over the years, Dave has covered a range of national weather events including; Hurricane Sandy, the 2000 wildfires in the Western United States,  the California drought, and the record snowfall winter of 2009-2010 in Philadelphia. In addition, he has been a mentor to the Datastream Atmosphere and Student Weather Station programs that bring the meteorological science curriculum into the classroom.

Furthermore, Dave is an Eagle Scout who closely works with the scouting community and on regular occasions, he can be seen visiting local troops to assist the boys to get their Weather Merit Badge. During his free time, he enjoys golfing, taking his children to the beach, and spending ample time with his family.
