Dave Peck is an American reporter working for WVIT as a news and sports reporter. He joined the WVIT news team in Sep 2022, after previously working for WVII.

Peck attended Bowdoin College in 2019 with Bachelors in History. While there, he was part of Varsity Baseball, Varsity Football, Writer for Nothing But NESCAC; WBOR Sports Department Manager and a Co-host of the Bowdoin Sports Talk Radio Show. Later on, he went to Northwestern University to pursue a Master of Science and MS in Journalism and graduated in 2020 He began his professional career at Radio Midcoast WCME in Brunswick, ME as a WCME Sports Express Host in June 2016. Here, he was responsible for researching local and national sports news, interviewing, and editing clips for the WCME Sports Express on weekday mornings.
This short segment included scores and news from the day before as well as interviews with local sports personnel. He then became a Substitute Teacher at Lyme-Old Lyme High School, Old Lyme, CT in 2017 teaching high school level History and English. In that very year, he became an assistant Media Operations Intern at Newport Gulls Baseball. He then became a broadcaster at NorthEast Sports Network and later an ESPN 92.9 Ticket Co-Host at Townsquare Media Bangor, Maine. There, he was named the 2022 NSMA Maine Sportscaster of the Year for his work in both television and radio.
Growing up in southeastern Connecticut, Peck pays particularly close attention to all things Boston sports. In his downtime, he’ll never shy away from a tennis match, and he also enjoys playing any and all recreational activities.
