Darya Folsom is an American anchor working for KRON 4 as a morning anchor. She joined the KRON 4 news team in 1998, after previously working for WTTG-TV.
Folsom’s passion for journalism began when she was young, from the age of five. She went to the University of Kansas where she earned her degree in journalism. Prior to joining KRON 4, where she is currently the longest-running morning anchor in the Bay Area, she worked in Washington, D.C., where she was the morning anchor for Fox affiliate station, WTTG-TV. She also served as an anchor and reporter in Phoenix, Portland Maine, Palm Springs, Boise Idaho, and Kansas.
Through her reporting, Darya has been to Hollywood for the Oscars, Chicago for the 1996 Democratic National Convention, and 10,000 feet above the ground to witness sweatshops and Guatemala. Apart from her profession, Darya participates in numerous volunteer and community projects. She also enjoys hiking, working out, practicing yoga, and golfing.
