Daniela Pardo Biography
Daniela Pardo is an American anchor and reporter working for Spectrum News 1 as a Political Correspondent. She joined the Spectrum News 1 news team in October 2019, after previously working for TEGNA.
Pardo completed her general education studies at Orange Coast College and television and broadcast journalism at Chapman University. As a reporter for Inside the Issues, Daniela covers Southern California legislators at the State Capitol and she is passionate about telling the stories of California’s diverse communities. She believes ordinary people have the most extraordinary stories. Before joining the Spectrum News 1 Sacramento bureau as a political correspondent, Daniela worked at TEGNA, the ABC affiliate in Sacramento, covering the Stephon Clark protests, the devastating Camp Fire, and the Golden State Killer case.
While working for KTSM-TV, an NBC affiliate station in El Paso, Texas Area, Daniela covered Pope Francis’ visit to the U.S.-Mexico border. In addition, Daniela worked in other stations in the past years of her journalism career, including as a reporter and multimedia journalist at KKCO, in Grand Junction, Colorado and as a news assistant and traffic producer at KABC, in Glendale.
From 2012 to 2013, Daniela worked as a production intern at NBC Dateline, as a news intern at KNBC News in Burbank, California, and as a Morning Segment Producer Intern at KTLA Morning News, in Hollywood, California. Daniela enjoys hiking, visiting Lake Tahoe, and trying out new restaurants during her spare time. When she goes to visit her family in Anaheim, she loves to hang out with friends, play with her parents’ dogs, eat her mom’s Colombian food, and take in the stunning SoCal beaches.
