Dan Mannarino is a 13-time Emmy Award-winning anchor working for PIX 11 as a weekday morning anchor from 6 am to 10 am. He also serves as the Sunday morning host of PIX on Politics which airs from 7:30-8 a.m.
Mannarino joined the PIX 11 team as a reporter in 2011. While working at the station, he has covered a number of the biggest stories such as; the election of Pope Francis live from Rome, the Covid-19 pandemic, Hurricane Sandy, the Chelsea bombings, the terror attacks in Paris and Manchester, the Philadelphia train derailment, the East Harlem explosion, and many more.
Over the years, Dan has won many broadcast media awards such as; 13 regional Emmy Awards including two that were presented to him for his exclusive Hidden New York Series that took viewers to unknown hidden spots around the tri-state area. In addition, Mannarino is part of the team that was awarded an Emmy award for being the best morning show.
Furthermore, he has provided in-depth reporting from inside Rikers Island, which is among the country’s largest jail systems for the last 3 years. He has also been able to uncover violence and corruption in dozens of exclusive reports he has done. His reports asisted in shifting the tide to shuttering the island for the next decade, and most of his exclusive reports have made national headlines. In addition, he has been an active volunteer in a number of positioning since 2003, including; Activities Director for Camp New Day in New Jersey.
Mannarino was born and brought up in the tri-state area and he attended Manhattan College in the Bronx. Dan graduated in 2008, with a bachelor’s degree in communications. During his free time,he enjoys hiking and spending time at the Jersey Shore.
