Curt Sandoval is an American seven-time Emmy- winning sports anchor and reporter working for ABC 7 as the weekend sports anchor and host of Sean McVay Coaches Show. He joined ABC 7 in 1999, as a sports reporter.
Denver is Sandoval’s native home and he attended Metro State College where he graduated with a degree in sports communication in 1986. Ever since he graduated, he has worked in 8 different television stations. During John Elway’s third year, he worked in media relations with the Denver Broncos football club for a season and has served as an anchor and reporter in San Diego for six years. Over the years, Curt has won a number of awards inclusive of two Emmy awards for his work at ABC 7.
In addition, Sandoval is an avid runner and over the years he has competed in a number of marathons and has completed a number of Ironman Triathlons. Sandoval wanted $5,000 for the Challenged Athletes Foundation thus he completed the 140-mile endurance event. Furthermore, for his three-part series on the California Ironman, he won an Emmy award.
