Cristina Rendon Biography
Cristina Rendon is an American anchor and reporter who is currently working at KTVU Fox 2 News in San Francisco Bay Area. She served as the Friday and Saturday evenings anchor at the station. In addition, she joined the KTVU team in December 2013.

Rendon joined St. Mary’s University in 2001 and studied Communication and media studies. Later in 2006, she joined St. Edward’s University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Broadcast in 2008.

While she has been working at KTVU, a number of her most memorable stories include covering the the Warriors and Giants championships, Super Bowl 50, the North Bay wildfires, and covering the 2014 Napa earthquake. Prior to working in the Bay Area,se worked at ABC 4 Utah in Salt Lake City from October 2011 to December 2013. While she worked at ABC 4 , she served as a reporter and field anchor of the CW 30 9 at 9 News. In addition, she did cover a range of stories from Utah politics to the annual Sundance Film Festival in Park City. Most notably, she reported on the fight to legalize gay marriage in Utah.
Furthermore, Rendon has also worked at KRGV in Brownsville, Texas where she served as a general assignment reporter from June 2008 to July 2009. While she worked at KRGV Channel 5, she covered crime, courts, immigration, and the war against drug cartels in Mexico. Cristina also covered Hurricane Dolly as it made landfall and its aftermath. In addition, she served as a bureau chief a the station till 2011. In addition, in September 2007, she interned at KXAN-TV in Austine, Texas. In January 2008, she interned at KTBC fOX 7 Austin for a period of five months.
The Rio Grande Valley in South Texas is her native home and during her spare time, she enjoys spending ampe time with her family outdooors and travelling.
