Courtney Heels is a Canadian news anchor and reporter working for CP24 as an evening anchor and reporter. She joined the CP24 news team in 2015, after previously working for CTV.
Heels is a proud graduate of Eastview Secondary School and she completed her Journalism studies at Canadore College in North Bay. Since joining CP24 as a reporter and anchor in 2015, Heels is thrilled to provide Torontonians with the most recent breaking news. Heels has covered major Toronto stories for CP24 during her time there, such as the candidacy of former Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair as a member of parliament for Scarborough Southwest in the 2015 federal election, Prince Harry’s 2016 visit to Toronto to promote the 2017 Invictus Games, and the April 2016 scaffolding collapse at Bathurst and Eglinton that resulted in seven injuries.
In addition, she started her career in broadcasting in 2007, working first in radio. In 2008, she moved to television, joining CTV Northern Ontario in North Bay and Sudbury. Four years later, in 2011, she moved to CTV Barrie. Heels has covered stories throughout northern and central Ontario, including the towns of New Liskeard, Elliot Lake, Orangeville, Bobcaygeon, and the Greater Toronto Area. Throughout her career to date, Heels has worn many hats, including reporter, videographer, weather specialist, anchor, and producer.
