Chalmers founded the San Bernardino County Hoarding Task Force to fill a void within the county. There are government bodies, private groups, and members of the public who work together on the Hoarding Task Force. They meet once a month to help find better ways to handle hoarding cases. This group doesn’t work on individual cases in the county. Instead, they talk about current and past cases to figure out how to handle them better. The Task Force also plans hoarding conferences every year to help teach the public and anyone who works with hoarding cases.
Chalmers set up a free online group every week to help people who are hoarding or who are touched by it.
