Colleen Williams is an American Emmy award-winning anchor who is currently working at NBC4. She serves as the co-anchor of the weekday newscasts at 5 p.m., 7 p.m., and 11 p.m. In addition, she joined the KNBC news team in 1986.

She has served as a journalist for more than three decades and is a beneficiary of many industry honors, including Emmy Awards and Golden Mike awards. For her team’s coverage of the Chatsworth train crash, she was recognized with a Golden Mike award. In addition, for her work on NBC4’s special ‘LA Riots: Rubble to Rebirth she received an Emmy award. Furthermore, she earned a Golden Mike and Associated Press Award for her coverage of the 1996 Atlanta Summer Games Centennial Park bombing for ‘Best Live Coverage of a News Story.’ Prior to being honored by the Radio & Television News Association with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Furthermore, she has covered many breaking news stories from the many infamous car chases that make Southern California unique, the Los Angeles riots, terrorist attacks, earthquakes, and two Pope visits. Her broadcasting career started at WOW radio in Omaha but later on, she joined WOWT not long after, she worked at CBS Los Angeles and San Francisco where she served as an anchor.
In addition, throughout her illustrious career, she has worked alongside a number of news greats including; Jess Marlow, Lester Holt, and Tom Brokaw. Her first live shot from Omaha was with Dan Rather and Walter Conkrite.
Winston-Salem, North Carolina is her native home. She attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree. Furthermore, she has been supporting Casa del Las Amigas for over twenty years. She has also assisted the Rape Crisis Center in Riverside in bringing attention to reducing domestic abuse cases in the Inland Empire.
