Cody Matz is an American meteorologist working for FOX 9 as a weekday morning meteorologist at 11 am and on Saturday mornings. He joined the FOX 9 team in June 2013, after previously working for KDLT-TV.

Minnesotan is where he was born and brought up and he is a huge Minnesota sports fan. In his teenage years, he relocated to Arizona where he studied high school, and his first years of college were spent at Arizona State. Cody joined Mississippi State University in 2006, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast meteorology in 2008.

In addition, Matz secured his first job in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where he worked at KDLT-TV as a morning meteorologist before later becoming the chief meteorologist a position he held for more than 4 years. An opportunity presented itself in June 2013 for him to move back to his hometown and join the FOX 9 team as a weekend morning meteorologist. During his free time, he enjoys hanging out with his golden retriever named Copper, Crossfitting, and enjoying a meal.
