Claudia Cowan is an American anchor and reporter working for FOX News Channel as a senior correspondent. She joined the FOX News Channel team in 1998, after previously working for KRON-TV.

Cowan is a proud graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, and the University of California, Los Angeles. Her coverage of the crime epidemic that is sweeping California is very extensive. In 2020 she did live reporting from Seattle’s Capitol Hill Organized Protest (CHOP) zone. Along with her important reporting, she has contributed to the recent, deadly California wildfires that have affected the country’s west coast. Cowan has covered a wide range of breaking news items during her time at the network, such as the 2014 passing of actor Robin Williams, the 2013 disaster of Asiana Flight 214 in San Francisco that claimed many lives, and the California anti-fracking movement.

Additionally, she covered the Golden Gate Bridge’s 75th anniversary, the passing of an American singer, the recording of Whitney Houston, the response of Californians to Proposition 8’s unlawful judgment, and the earthquake in Baja California. Before she joined FNC, Cowan worked in several local markets including KRON-TV (NBC 4) in San Francisco, KOVR-TV (CBS 13) in Sacramento, and KMST-TV (CBS 32) in Monterey. She started her career at KTTV-TV (FOX 11) in Los Angeles.

He was her fourth. Barbara Crane, who adopted Melissa and Jonathan Gilbert of “Little House on the Prairie” fame, was the daughter of comedy writer Harry Crane of “The Honeymooners”. She was also married to actor, Paul Gilbert. Actress Sara Gilbert, who married Harold Abeles, is also her mother; nonetheless, Sara took on her family’s renowned acting last name. Claudia Gilbert became Melissa, Jonathan, and Sara Gilbert’s stepsister at the age of 32.
