Cindy Preszler Biography
Cindy Preszler is an American Emmy award-winning meteorologist working for CBS4 Miami as a weekly meteorologist. She joined the CBS4 team in September 2022, after previously working for WFTX/FOX 4.
She has served as a television broadcast meteorologist for decades and has proven on-air excellence in both large and medium-sized markets across the country. Prior to joining the CBS4 Miami team, she worked in Fort Myers/Cape Coral, Florida at WFTX/FOX 4 from 2019-2022, and while she was there, she served as an evening meteorologist. In addition, she was the founder of WeatherSTL.com in 2016, which was a dynamic, interactive website that delivered up-to-date weather information for the Greater St. Louis metro area, until 2019.
In addition, Preszler has also worked at KSDK, the NBC affiliate in St. Louis, Missouri as the chief meteorologist from 1998 until 2016. While she worked at KSDK, she covered every single type of weather from severe thunderstorms and tornadoes to winter storms. Before she arrived in St. Louis in October 1998, she worked for a number of television stations such as The Weather Channel and Chicago’s NBC-owned WMAQ. Furthermore, Preszler was the first ever female meteorologist to ever cover a landfalling hurricane for The Weather Channel. Cindy has also filled in for both CBS This Morning and The Today Show (NBC) in addition to being featured in a Sports Illustrated article about the Women of Weather.
