Chris Wragge Biography
Chris Wragge is an American anchor working for CBS 2 News as the co-anchor of This Morning and CBS 2 News at Noon alongside Mary Calvi. He joined WCBS-TV as a sports anchor in 2004.

When Wragge joined WCBS-TV, he served as the 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. sports anchor. Later in November 2006, Chris transitioned to becoming a news anchor and reporter. He has covered many major events such as; the “Miracle on the Hudson” landing of U.S. Airways Flight 1549, the Brooklyn tornado, the 2008 presidential election, and Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to New York. In addition, he also covered the scandal that resulted in the resignation of Governor Eliot Spitzer, the rebuilding of the World Trade Center, the national recession, and the East Side crane collapse.
Furthermore, over the years, Wragge has received many awards for his outstanding work such as 21 Emmy awards. He received three Emmys for the Best News Anchor category. Wragge also received an Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia University Award together with his CBS News colleagues for “CBS Reports: Children of the Recession.” Before Wragge joined CBS, he worked for NBC Sports, and while he was at the station, he covered many sports events.
While at NBC Sports, he covered the WNBA for two years, served as a sideline reporter for NBA game broadcasts for 4 years, and covered the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City. Chris also covered the PBR, Notre Dame Football, and the PGA Tour for five years, and he served as the anchor of NBC’s Sportsdesk reports from 2002-2004. In addition, Wragge has also worked for Entertainment Tonight as a correspondent for four years. He has also worked for DIY, Travel Channel, and HGTV as a host.
Furthermore, Wragge was born and brought up in the great state of New Jersey. He attended the University of New Hampshire under a football scholarship and he received a degree in Liberal Arts. Chris has also worked at WMUR-TV in Manchester, New Hampshire, WVIT-TV in Hartford, Connecticut, and KPRC-TV, the NBC affiliate in Houston, Texas.
