Chris Sowers is an American meteorologist working for 6ABC as a weekend morning meteorologist. She joined the 6ABC news team in May 2011, after previously working for WFLD.
Glassboro, New Jersey is Sowers’ native home and he attended Kean University in Union, New Jersey where he earned a degree in meteorology. The National Weather Association awarded Chris with an NWA Seal and for mesoscale circulation forecasting, he received many certificates. In addition, Sowers previously worked at 6ABC as a weather producer in October 2000.
Chris left Philadelphia in 2005 and relocated to Bowling Green, Kentucky where he worked at WNKY as the Chief Meteorologist. Later on, Sowers relocated to Chicago where he worked as a weekend meteorologist. While growing up he wrestled and played baseball for 15 years, and he completed in a number of charity races every year inclusive of kayak marathons and stair climbs. Furthermore, during Sowers’ leisure time, he enjoys running, weightlifting, and spending time with his family and friends.
