Chris Hush is an American Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter working for WTVJ as a weekday reporter and weekend evening co-anchor at 6 pm and 11 pm alongside Alina Machado.
Prior to joining the NBC6 news team, Hush worked at NBC Chicago (WMAQ) where he worked for 6 years while serving as a news reporter. While Chris worked for NBC Chicago, he did a four-part docuseries that he wrote, directed, produced, and hosted, for which he was awarded an Emmy and an Edward R. Murrow. In addition, the docuseries, “Vaccinated State” was about the creation, distribution, and lastly challenges of the first three COVID-19 vaccines.
Before relocating to Chicago, Hush worked for WGAL 8 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, WESH 2 News Orlando, and WETM-TV in Elmira, New York. New Jersey is Chris’ birth home and he was brought up in Maryland and Tampa, Florida. In addition, he attended Penn State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism. Furthermore, Hush is a former Big Ten cheerleader and gymnast. During his spare time, he enjoys road biking roller coasters and he is looking forward to fostering a dog in the near future.
