Chris Cimino is an American meteorologist and host working for PIX 11 as a weekday morning co-host of New York Living that airs from 10 am to 11 am. He joined the PIX 11 team in December 2021 as a meteorologist for 4-6 a.m newscast.
Chris Cimino Career
Before joing WPIX, Cimino worked at WNBC where he served as a meteorologist on the Today In New York morning show for almost 24 years. While he was at the station, he worked for Al Roker on NBC’s Today Show as a fill-in weather anchor and for two years, he was a regular weekend weather anchor. In addition, Chris has covered numerous weather events such as; tropical storms, crippling blizzards, Superstorm Sandy, and severe weather.
While Cimino worked at WNBC, he was privileged to interview many celebrities including his favorite icon, Elton John. Furthermore, he also served as a broadcast meteorologist at WLWT-Cincinnati, Ohio, WROC-Rochester, New York, WTXF-Philadelphia, and WNEP-Scranton, PA. Chris has also served as a broadcast meteorologist for private weather services like Compu-Weather and Metro Weather. Throughout North America, Cimino has delivered daily weathercasts for over 100 radio stations.
As of the moment, Cimino is the co-host of The Middle Age Warriors, which is a podcast on the Bleav Podcast Network. He also owns a blog known as What’s Next Chris and he produced and co-hosted a cooking show known as Chris & Edmi’s Kitchen. In addition, for his outstanding work, he has received the Townsend Harris Medals and the prestigious Findley Award from his alma mater, The City College of New York.
Furthermore, for Cimino’s work with WNBC, he was awarded 4 local Emmy awards.
