Chris Broussard is an American sports analyst and commentator working for Fox Sports 1 (FS1) and Fox Sports Radio as an NBA analyst and regular contributor to FS1’s daily studio shows. He joined the Fox Sports team in October 2016, after previously working for ESPN.

Well-known for his NBA coverage, he currently co-hosts The Odd Couple with Rob Parker on Fox Sports Radio and the afternoon show First Things First on FS1. He has previously worked as an analyst for The New York Times, ESPN The Magazine, and ESPN.com. He has also appeared as an analyst on ESPN’s SportsCenter, NBA Countdown, First Take, and NBA Fastbreak. Broussard started writing about sports for The Plain Dealer in 1990. After four years of employment, he moved on to cover the NBA for the Akron Beacon Journal, where he worked as the Cleveland Cavaliers beat writer for two and a half seasons.

After that, in 1998, Broussard started working for The New York Times, where he covered the NBA in general for one year, the New Jersey Nets for two years, and the New York Knicks for three years. Broussard began working with ESPN The Magazine in September 2004. In 2004, Broussard started doing more than just writing; he started appearing frequently on ESPN as an NBA insider and analyst. He also started participating in First Take debates about sports with Skip Bayless as a panelist. As an NBA insider, Broussard was added to ABC’s NBA Countdown pregame show for the 2011–12 NBA season. Additionally, he worked for three years as a sideline reporter for ESPN and ABC during nationally broadcast games.

Broussard frequently participates in panels on FS1 programs including Lock It In, First Things First, The Herd with Colin Cowherd, and Skip and Shannon: Undisputed. Broussard took over as co-host of First Things First on August 30, 2021, taking over from former wide receiver Brandon Marshall in the NFL. In 2018, Broussard joined The Odd Couple, a daily national radio program, as co-host. Rob Parker, a different FS1 sports analyst, is his co-host. In October 2023, Broussard called James Harden “retarded” during an appearance on First Things First. This was in response to a comment made by Nick Wright about Harden’s reaction to being traded from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Los Angeles Clippers. He apologized and corrected himself, stating that he had a cousin with developmental disabilities who passed away recently.
